Francesco Manacorda - Artissima Voice Over

Francesco Manacorda is a freelance curator based in London. He has been Artistic Director of V-A-C Foundation (2017–22); Artistic Director of Tate Liverpool (2012–17), Director of Artissima and Curator at Barbican Art Gallery. From 2006 to 2011 he was Visiting Lecturer in Exhibition History and Critical Theory in the Curating Contemporary Art department at the Royal College of Art, London. He has co-curated the 2016 Liverpool Biennial and in 2018 the 11th Taipei Biennial.

Artissima Voice Over is a cross-media space that offers an extencive overview of the three curated sectios of the fair: Disegni (curated by Irina Zucca Alessandrelli), Present Future (curated by Saim Demircan and Maurin Dietrich), and Back to the Future (curated by Defne Ayas and Francesco Manacorda).

A 360° journey to discover the artworks of the artists participating in this year curated sections.

Sections and projects

From the homepage or the menu, by clicking on the name of each section you can see all the projects by the artists taking part in that area. By clicking on a single project you can reach the page of in-depth coverage of the project and the artist: you will find images of works with captions and prices, and you can contact the gallery for more information. You can also learn more about the artist’s poetics through critical writings, videos, podcasts and other materials.
